It's a portion of your blood containing growth factors. These can be used in combination with mesotherapy or biostimulants, or they can be used alone. The goal is to inject the growth factors needed by the skin or hair, while concentrating them more closely into these areas.

PRP can be applied to the face, neck, décolleté, hands, and scalp as needed. It can also be used to treat scars on the body.

First, you'll be examined and scheduled. Before the procedure, photographs will be taken. A local anesthetic cream will be applied to the area to be injected and left in place for approximately 30 minutes. A small amount of blood will be drawn from you. This blood will undergo a special process to separate the growth factor-containing portion. This extracted portion is injected into the planned area using very fine needles called microfine needles.

The treated area should not be washed for 3-4 hours, and the patient can return to normal life the next day.

There may be minimal swelling, bruising and mild tenderness in the application area, but these usually subside after a few days.

Depending on the patient's needs, a minimum of 3-4 sessions are typically performed, spaced 3-4 weeks apart. Hair or scar treatments may take longer.

Depending on the patient's needs, a course of 4-6 treatments repeated every 6 months to 1 year is recommended. Monthly treatments can also be continued if needed.
