Upper eyelid surgery can be performed under local anesthesia and sedation, or only under local anesthesia. It takes about 30 minutes to 1 hour. Excess skin and muscle tissue on the upper eyelid are removed. If necessary, the fat tissues that make bagging are also removed.
Lower eyelid surgery is performed under general anesthesia. It takes about 1 hour. It is entered through an incision made from the bottom of the lower eyelashes. The fat tissues and excess skin that cause bagging are removed.
Tape is applied to the wounds and the stitches are removed in the 1st week.

If you have received sedation or general anesthesia, we recommend that you stay in the hospital for 1 night after the operation. You will have little to no pain. We recipe painkillers and eye drops on discharge. We recommend that you protect yourself from direct sunlight.

You can see the result of the surgery immediately, but it will take about 1 month for the swelling due to the operation to go down, and 6-12 months for the eyelids to take their final shape.

Every surgery has risks. There may be early or late complications due to anesthesia or surgery.
In the early surgery period, conditions such as bleeding, infection, or wound opening may be observed. Your scars may heal with swelling.
There may be complaints such as stinging and burning in your eyes specific to this surgery. These complaints can be treated with drops.
